Welcome !

I am Bordeaux Rose and I'm a former one room school teacher. I taught two years in the Missouri River Breaks and two years in rural Missoula County. After that I married a Kansas boy and moved to a tiny town in Tornado Alley. We now live in Wyoming.

So I never did get far from the West.

I write paranormal and sci-fi romance under the name of Melisse Aires but for years I have wanted to write romances set in  Montana. So I am finally doing it.

Yogo Creek, Montana. There is a real Yogo creek, and there is real yoga sapphire mining in Montana. But my town of Yogo Creek is built on small towns I'm familiar with in Montana--Jordan, Lewistown, Seely Lake. It has a rural ranching economy with some sapphire mining and tourism also. A thriving K-12 school that the community revolves around, and several one and two room schools out in the country. Community spirit, hard working people, frigid winters, glorious summers, stunning landscapes--those elements that make Montana so special.

Madi, the new 4th grade teacher, is fresh out of college. She is thrilled with her job and open to getting involved with her community. When no one wants to organize the annual Christmas Pageant, held in the Community Hall, she volunteers. All the classes and small schools plan their own small part of the program, her biggest job is the set construction and finding the Santa to end the show.

"Remember, we want a Santa none of the kids will guess. It makes the Christmas Spirit seem more real when the Santa isn't your Uncle Bob."

Who knew finding a Santa would be so hard?
